Day 4 - Puerto Vallarta

It was an early start this morning for our boat cruise. After boarding at the marina we were served breakfast as we cruised across Puerto Vallarta, only about 100m off shore. Our first stop was Los Arcos for snorkelling. The water was filled with brightly coloured fish which fed off the bread thrown to them from the boat. Then we headed off to the waterfall at Quimixto. As we arrived at the beach we were greated by large Iguanas (ready for photo opportunities). A few photos and then we were off on our climb up to the waterfall - the kids decided to do it on horse back. I was a bit nervous as they headed up the hill over the rocks without helmuts. But all was well and they both really enjoyed their horse ride - it was Georgie's first time riding so she did really well to get up and down some of the steep hills. The waterfall was really beautiful and they tried to convince me that the water was refreshing but it was freezing. After spending a while swimming we headed back to the boat and to Las Animas where we had a very late lunch. Soon we were back on the boat and heading back to the marina. The cruise was great fun - they had us up dancing on the way back and playing lots of games - Shane even had to sing a tune. We weren't expecting too much out of this day but we were really pleasantly surprised that it was such great fun and good value. We had Italian for dinner at the Marina Vallarta.
Overnight: Marriott Casa Magna
