Day 31 - San Diego to Lake Topaz

Another reasonably early start today as we hit to road for Lake Topaz (on our way to Lake Tahoe). It was a long day of driving but there was certainly plenty to see along the way. There is some really amazing scenery around here with snow capped mountains, lakes and desert. Some of the towns that we passed through were deserted - doesn't look like anyone has been there for a long time and it looks like they left their junk behind. Lake Topaz is just over the boarder in Nevada so we were able to enjoy dinner at the local casino and then head to bed really early. Overnight: Best Western Lake Topaz Nevada
